The MCV Awards 2018 shortlist is more competitive than ever

We set out with a mission for this year’s awards to make them more relevant, more rigorous and more competitive. We started by modernising the categories to better suit today’s UK games market. We beefed up the submissions process to ensure that each entrant provided comparable information. And we set ourselves a tough limit on the size of shortlists too.

That makes this the most competitive MCV Awards shortlist in many years. With 100 shortlisted entries across 19 streamlined award categories, featuring a total of 65 companies. Competition was brutal just to get this far, with many categories having multiple times the number of entries we wanted to put through to our judging panels – each of which has been handpicked for its specific category.

So without further ado, here’s the MCV Awards shortlists for 2018, a huge congratulations to everyone listed below, and thank you everyone for taking the time to submit your entries.

We hope to see you all at the revamped awards ceremony on the 8th of March.
