Top 100 Women in Games: Jade Parkinson-Hill

Following the Next Gen report in 2011, Parkinson-Hill led the bid to open the first Studio school in the UK, specialising in gaming and digital technology for young people aged 14 to 19.

The Studio opened in Liverpool in 2013.

Parkinson-Hill has also worked with key industry stakeholders to co-create a curriculum that ensures Studio students graduate industry-ready.

Now in its second year, Studio partners include the likes of PlayStation First, Lucid Games, Ripstone and Starship, all of whom support the outlet by delivering masterclasses, mentoring students, sitting on the board of governors and providing enviable work placement opportunities.

More than 240 students now attend The Studio, with the first group of students set to graduate in July 2015.
