Two day PC Gamer Weekender event announced for March

Future has announced a new PC gaming event that will take place in London early next year.

The two-day gathering is called The PC Gamer Weekender. It’ll be at the Old Truman Brewery in Brick Lane and kicks off on Saturday March 5th.

A number of the latest triple-A and indie game releases will be available to play, with all attendees granted entry into one of the weekend’s tournaments. A Hardware Zone will offer the chance to both sample and buy a range of PC tech, while a number of workshops are scheduled, including developer interview sessions.

The PC Gamer Weekender follows the debut in June of PC Gamer’s PC Gaming Show at E3.

"The event we put on at E3 was a huge success and has proved to be a launch pad into the PC Gamer Weekender,” Future’s head of events Jonny Sullens told MCV. PC Gaming is a very vibrant market with many different attributes to make a multifaceted event."

Future’s head of content and marketing for games Declan Gough added: "We have been speaking about a live event with PC gaming community for a while now. The feedback generated through PC Gamer magazine’s social channels and PCGamer.com has been incredible, and it became obvious to us very quickly this is an event the community wanted.

"This research has really helped us shape the event, and the general feeling was that a PC gaming event was something the community had almost been waiting for."

Tickets will go on sale in December, with all visitors to receive an as-of-yet unnamed free game. For more information regarding the event including itinerary please email jonny.sullens@futurenet.com. For information about how to book space at the event, please email kevin.stoddart@futurenet.com.
