Along with a welcome change of climate, this week has also bought with it yet another new name at the top of the ELSPA GfK Chart-Track All Formats Top 40 – Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XIII.
The game becomes the eighth title to hold the stop spot in the ten sales weeks that have so far comprised 2010. It’s also the latest to claim the fastest-selling game crown this year.
There are no other new entries in the Top Ten, with last week’s number one Battlefield: Bad Company 2 slipping one place to second and Ubisoft’s Just Dance claiming third position.
Sony’s Heavy Rain holds firm at four, while Sega’s Aliens vs Predator drops from third to eighth.
You have to cast your eyes all the way down to number thirteen to find the next new entry – Bandai Namco’s Ben 10: Alien Force – Vilgax Attacks. 14th sees another new entry, THQ’s Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II Chaos. Sega’s Yakuza 3 debuts at number 24.
