Uplay launches with Assassins Creed II

Ubisoft has announced the beta version of its Uplay service will launch alongside the debut of Assassin’s Creed II later this week.

The service was announced at E3 and provides the publisher’s customers with a variety of online incentives that span across various Ubisoft titles.

Only Uplay Win will be launched with Assassin’s Creed II. This system rewards players with units based on their in-game actions, which can be spent on exclusive downloads and extras, such as access to new game areas.

Units can be gathered across all three platforms – PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 – and can be saved for future Uplay compatible titles, such as Splinter Cell: Conviction. Additional systems, including Uplay Share, Uplay Shop and Uplay Help, will be launched at a later time.
