The US video games market created $1.12 billion in revenues in May, according to sales monitor NPD – up 37 per cent year on year.
Software sales created the majority of the growth, generating $536.9 million – up 41 per cent year-on-year – whilst hardware created $428.6 million, an increase of 31 per cent.
Accessories took $150 million in the bumper month – representing year-on-year growth of 30 per cent.
