VIDEO: Fallout 4 officially confirmed

In news that will shock no-one, Fallout 4 has at last been named.

The game is coming out on PS4, Xbox One and PC, but beyond that the specifics remain unknown. An official site is live, but the video at the centre of it remains flagged up as ‘private’. Also not yet functional are the links to the retailers for pre-orders.

The teaser website spotted yesterday continues to countdown to 3pm today, when presumably more details will be revealed.

Fallout was first mentioned vialeaked documentsway back in December 2013. Then last month a CV on LinkedIn made reference toa cinematic trailerfor the game that was made by Guillermo del Torro’s Mirada Studios.

There’s also the fact that Bethesda is holding itsfirst ever E3 conferencethis month.

The first Fallout was released in 1997. Since then a further five titles have been released, with the series making the move to 3D in 2008’s Fallout 3. This was followed by 2010’s Fallout: New Vegas.
