Visceral’s Star Wars project likened to cancelled 1313

The Star Wars title in production at Visceral Games is apparently along the same lines” as the cancelled Star Wars 1313.

1313 was unveiled in the summer of 2012, but was killed off when Disney acquired LucasArts a year later, closing LucasArts in the process. The title had looked to offer a grittier, darker take on the Star Wars universe.

Now GameSpot reports that voice actor Nolan North has told an audience at Metrocon that said that EA’s still mysterious Visceral title is different” to 1313 but along the same lines”.

Added North: "If you’re a big fan of Amy Hennig [who joined Visceral from naughty Dog last year] and her style of story, she’s gone to EA and is going to reboot a brand new Star Wars franchise in the style of Uncharted. I happen to know a lot about it and it’s going to be awesome."

EA acquired the Star Wars game license shortly after Disney’s acquisition in 2013.

Rumours of discontent still surround the circumstances of Hennig’s departure from Naughty Dog. This morning it was claimed, again by North, that Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley scrapped much of Hennig’s work on Uncharted 4 following her departure.
