Warner signs sales hotshots

Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment has brought in two well-known sales executives as it continues to expand in 2008: Spencer Crossley and Dean Purse.

Spencer Crossley (left) joins the publisher as its UK head of sales. Crossley brings over 16 years industry experience.

Previous roles ranged from Mindscape to Sony Computer Entertainment, but Crossley also held senior sales posts at firms including Hasbro, Majesco and Bright Things.
He also created Atomic Entertainment – his own specialist consultancy for the entertainment industry.

Purse (right) comes on board as sales analysis manager for EMEA, bringing his six years of commercial experience to Warner. His first role in the games industry was with Big Ben, where he worked as commercial assistant.

He later joined Take Two in 2005 as commercial manager, where he was part of the team which brought the GTA franchise to PSP and Bioshock to the 360 and PC.

The signing will boost Warner ahead Speed Racer’s release in the summer. The title, which is based on a movie by The Matrix creators the Wachowski Brothers, enjoyed heavy promotion at the Warner stand during last weekend’s Play.com Live.
