Warner unleashes LEGO Ninjago

Warner Bros and LEGO have announced plans to release a new line of LEGO Ninjago toys and game content.

DS adventure title LEGO Ninjago: The Videogame, developed by TT Games, will arrive in UK stores this spring.

The title allows players to embark on a ‘good’ or ‘evil’ single-player campaign, take part in multiplayer showdowns and master the ‘Spinjitsu’ fighting style.

This will be complemented by a special Ninjago area in PC MMO LEGO Universe. Warner originally supported the title’s October release with a sampling tour at LEGO Land and GameCity.

LEGO has also announced several new Ninjago construction sets. It kicked off a marketing campaign for the new toys in December and has ads running on TV and online throughout this month.

A ‘Spinjitsu’ roadshow will also take place this Easter targeting children during the school holidays.

LEGO Ninjago: The Videogame offers players a humorous way to immerse themselves further in the LEGO Ninjago toy line with action packed battles,” said TT Games MD Tom Stone.

It’s great to build upon the success of the first LEGO Battles game and expand the LEGO Ninjago world with new and classic characters.”

Previously released DS exclusive LEGO Battles hit shelves in May 2009.
