Bethesda has chosen not to release the digital and physical versions of Wolfenstein: The Old Blood at the same time.
The game, a stand-alone prequel to last year’s Wolfenstein: The New Order, was previously due out on PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 5th. It will still release digitally on Xbox One and PC on that date, but the digital PS4 release will now happen on May 6th.
Furthermore, the physical PS4 and PC versions will now not arrive until May 15th – just over a week later. There are still no plans to release a physical version of the game on Xbox One, while it will not be released in any form on PS3 or Xbox 360.
On Steam the game is priced at 14.99, although the console price has not yet been announced.
Earlier this year Warner Bros staggered the digital and physical release of Dying Light, with the latter arriving one month later. Not that this seemed to hard the boxed sales – it debuted at No.1 and went on to better some pretty high-profile competition.
