Brian Vigneault, better known as Twitch streamer ‘PoShYbRiD’, has died during a 24-hour charity livestream.
The 35 year-old father of three was at the time of his passing hosting and producing the vent from his home in Virginia Beach. Around an hour after he stepped away from the camera for a cigarette break, and just two hours before the end of the stream, police were called to assist an unresponsive individual”.
After he did not reappear it was presumed he had fallen asleep. In fact, much of his viewer community learnt of his passing later that evening in a Discord chat room, when a police officer responded to a message and explained what had happened.
The death is being investigated but there is no reason to suspect foul play, they have said.

The charity stream was being run to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Vigneault would frequently stream for long periods. Kotaku reports that this particular charity marathon came at the end of a week where he had run several such sessions.
His gaming clan, FAME, posted the following message: We just can not find words to describe how sad is this moment for all of us and for sure this game will not be the same without the legend. Maybe the saddest lines can not really be written, and the saddest thoughts can not really be uttered, let’s all hope that he is in a better place right now and may his soul Rest in Peace, he will never be forgotten… a person who stays in our hearts never dies…”
