Xbox 360 dominates Crysis 2 sales

As well as shooting straight to the top of the UKIE GfK Chart-Track UK All Formats Top 40 this week, new shooter Crysis 2 has also set a new 2011 for EA.

The game is officially the publisher’s biggest launch of the year, outpacing the likes of Bulletstorm, Dragon Age 2, Dead Space 2, Fight Night Champion and the PS3 version of Mass Effect 2.

Interesting, the game was also massively favoured by Xbox 360 gamers, with 57 per cent of UK sales being claimed by Microsoft’s console.

PS3 grabbed 29 per cent of sales and the PC 14 per cent – though of course that doesn’t include the numerous digital purchase son the format.
