19th century London will provide the backdrop for next year's Assassin's Creed: Victory, a leak confirmed as true by Ubisoft has confirmed.

Kotaku broke news of the game, which is due out next autumn for PS4, Xbox One and PC. It will be the first title in the series led by Ubisoft Quebec, which also handled duties on certain DLC for both ACIII and ACIV.

The report also claims that Victory will be the only AC game releasing next year, with no plans to developer a separate release for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Footage seen by the site shows a number of new additions for the series, such as fights on top of moving vehicles and a new grappling hook that offers Spider-man like free swinging abilities. There's some more established stuff, too, like those persistent haystacks.

It is always unfortunate when internal assets, not intended for public consumption, are leaked,” Ubisoft said. And, while we certainly welcome anticipation for all of our upcoming titles, we're disappointed for our fans, and our development team, that this conceptual asset is now public.

The team in our Quebec studio has been hard at work on the particular game in question for the past few years, and we're excited to officially unveil what the studio has been working on at a later date. In the meantime, our number one priority is enhancing the experience of Assassin's Creed Unity for players.”
