The 3DS will launch at retail outlets across America from March 27th, Nintendo has confirmed.
Shoppers will have to part with $249 for the innovative handheld, which has around thirty games set for release at launch window.
In the UK the price is varied, though a listing on HMV’s website put the device at 229.
Retailers will be able to stock Nintendo’s next handheld in two colours: ‘Cosmo Black’ and ‘Aqua Blue’.
The details were announced today at a high-profile press conference in Amsterdam.
Nintendo 3DS is a category of one – the experience simply doesn’t exist anywhere else,” said Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime, who was present at the conference.
You have to see Nintendo 3DS to believe it. And it’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before.”
