As previously suggested, Sony has officially detailed a PlayStation VR bundle that contains everything a PS4 owner needs.
The $499.99 SKU includes the PlayStation VR headset and cables, a PlayStation Camera, two Move controllers, the PlayStation VR Worlds game collection, a VR demo disc and a pair of headphones.
Initially the bundle will only be available in limited quantities” when pre-orders open later this month, although a second wave of stock will be offered in the summer.
The SKU has not yet been announced for the UK and Europe, although surely it will be?
The price brings PlayStation VR that bit closer to Oculus Rift’s $600 RRP and HTC Vive’s $800 price. Add in a $360 (or so) PS4 console and it’s actually more expensive.
Of course, both Oculus and Vive require a beefy PC, adding another $1,000 or so to the price.
The vanilla PlayStation VR bundle for those who already own a PS4 and PlayStation Camera costs $399/350.
