Adidas game resurfaces in 505 deal

505 Games has picked up the publishing rights to miCoach, the fitness game developed by Adidas.

The title was originally going to be published by THQ, but this deal ended with a $10m lawsuit last month.

miCoach allows users to create their own training programmes and track their workout progress. They can also get coaching feedback from athlete ambassadors such as Kaka, Dwight Howard, Jose Mourinho, Ana Ivanovic and Eric Berry.

The console game will also connect to established miCoach systems, such as the mobile apps and miCoach.com, enabling users to continue their workout away from the living room.

"Working with Adidas on bringing this game to market provides a very exciting and immediate opportunity," said 505 Games’ head of global brand Tim Woodley.

"Bringing something truly new to the sports training and fitness segment on consoles, integrating it into the wider miCoach pantheon and capitalising on a packed summer of sport in 2012 is just the start of a great relationship."

miCoach will be available for Xbox 360 and PS3 this Summer. It will be compatible with both Kinect and PlayStation Move.
