Angry Birds Stella Pop shoots onto smartphone

Yes, there’s another Angry Birds game – Angry Birds Stella Pop has been released on iOS and Android.

The game borrows branding and characters from 2014 release Angry Birds Stella, but also ties up with Outplay Entertainment’s Pop series to provide a branded bubble popping puzzle experience.

We wanted Stella Pop to be special, and when Outplay approached us for a potential collaboration we knew it be perfect for taking the Angry Birds Stella brand on the next step in its gaming journey,” Rovio studio boss Heini Kaihu said.

Outplay founder and CEO Douglas Hare added: We are big fans of Angry Birds and are proud to be a key part of the next stage in one of the most iconic mobile games of the last five years. We are delighted to be working with Rovio and hope this is the first step in an ongoing relationship between the companies.”

Outplay was founded in 2011 and is based in Dundee.

Stella Pop is the 15th Angry Birds game to be released in six years on smartphones and the second this year following on from tile-matching RPG Angry Birds Fight.
