505 Games and developer Trickstar Games have delayed Ashes Cricket 2013 once again, this time to November.

That means that the game will not launch during the on-going Ashes series, something 505 Games had been gunning for after pushing back its initial 21st June release date.

Put simply, the game is simply not at a stage where we can release it. It's not good enough,” Trickstar's Mike Fegan said in avideoposted on the game's official Facebook page.

The game's November release will now coincide with the Ashes return series, which takes place in Australia during that time.

If we did release it, you guys wouldn't be too impressed with a game that's not to the standard that everybody wants. It's certainly not in keeping with what we've done in the past with Ashes Cricket 2009 and International Cricket 2010," Fegan added.

Fegan also said that the game not being at an acceptable level was also the reason for the lack of a gameplay trailer. He added that the additional development time will be utilised by the team for bug-fixing and adding polish to the game.

The one up side to the delay is that all the content that was initially planned as post-release DLC will now make it into the game's initial release.

Amidst Trickstar's development woes, another Aussie studio - Big Ant - has announced Cricket 14 for release this year, and it's shaping up quite nicely. Read more about it here.
