Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD heading to consoles and PC

Former Vita exclusive Assassin’s Creed Liberation is to receive an HD re-release on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

The game will be a digital-only release and feature some new missions as well as an improved tutorial system, some combat upgrades as well as improved animations and cutscenes.

There have been a host of visual upgrades, too, included boosted texture resolutions, the introduction of high-def skeletons for characters and the use of dynamic lighting that changes throughout the day.

Producer Momchil Valentinov Gindyanov says that the use of the AnvilNext engine and existing Assassin’s Creed technology” will also improve the crowd behaviour and AI. The devs have also polished the world layouts and every free-running path” to improve players’ journey through the environment.

All control elements that previously used Vitas touchscreen have also been altered for joypads.

Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD does not yet have a release date.
