In a somewhat backwards looking step, Atlus has told streamers that they face action should they stream too much of RPG hit Persona 5.

The policies seem at odds with the modern world of online games coverage, where virtually complete 100 per cent knowledge of all major releases is available around or shortly after release. Typically folks who don’t want spoilers have become accustomed at avoiding them. Furthermore, but cutting off streamers the publisher is immediately reducing the game’s potential exposure.
Atlus does at least acknowledge that its stance may be unusually heavy handed, adding: Persona 5 is a super special case for us and we’re in ongoing discussion about how our policies may evolve in the future.”
So what are streamers permitted to show? A set of somewhat arbitrary rules has been laid out, including limiting videos to 90 minutes and blocking any boss fights aside from Kamoshida.
Other rules, such as no major story spoilers” or must not focus solely on cutscenes/animated scenes, should prominently feature dungeon crawling/spending time in Tokyo” are incredibly vague.
As an example it cites the following: Good example: ‘The game deals with dark themes right off the bat, with a lecherous teacher and other corrupted individuals.’ Bad example: ‘Players immediately run into trouble with the pervy teacher *spoiler*, whose actions go so far as to cause *spoiler*.’)
