The Australian Federal and State government is pushing the Interactive Skills Integration Scheme (ISIS) forward to employ game developers outside the sector.
The scheme’s aim is to advocate several pilot programs, which will see games development and interactive media professionals employed in one of the ‘pilot businesses’, each of which will be mentored to bring gaming know-how into other contemporary uses.
ISIS aims to have each placement yield a prototype within six months, and each placement will be based on high level research and consultation with the ISIS industry expert group.
The deadline for those students or professionals seeking a role in the ISIS programs is 5pm Friday 2nd September.
