Bethesda confirms no more Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Editions

Bethesda has confirmed the Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition has completely sold out, with the company stating it put in as many manufacturing orders as it possibly could to meet demand.

Pete Hines explained the reality of the situation toGameSpot, following a rash of frustrations aired by fans towards the firm for not being able to offer a deeper supply of its popular pre-order gimmick.

"We made a shitload of Pip-Boys, and we went back and made more, and went back and made more,” Hines said. I keep seeing stuff about, ‘Oh, you only did a few thousand." No–we did a ton of these things. I think we did more of these things than we did for any collector’s edition we’ve ever done, ever.

"We reached a point where we’d go back to the factories and they were like, ‘guys, this is it, sorry. This is as long as we can run the lines and as many of them as we can make.’"

At the moment, the $120 edition seems to only be available via eBay listings topping out at $400.

Fallout 4 is due out November 10thfor PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
