BioShock creators hit Kickstarter with The Black Glove

Day For Night Games – the studio which emerged from the ashes of Irrational Games earlier this year – has brought its first project The Black Glove onto Kickstarter.

The team is compromised of former Irrational staff, creators of the BioShock and BioShock Infinite series – though if the media and description are anything to go by, The Black Glove aims to step up the surrealistic feel of its spiritual predecessors.

"Based on your decisions, the creators may become influenced by 8-bit video game music, 60s era pop art, Day of the Dead folk art, 70s cosmic comics, anime, multi-media experimental art, cyberpunk fiction, sad-eyed clown paintings, low-budget b-movies, and more," the Kickstarter page reads.

The Boston-based studio has been working on the game in its spare time since Irrational’s winding down and without external funding to this point. If funded, The Black Glove will initially come to Windows PC, Mac and Linux platforms.

The crowdfunding campaign has raised just under $45,000 of its $550,000 goal at time of writing, with still 31 days remaining in the do-or-die fundraising effort.
