Borderlands 2 and Pre-Sequel are coming to PS4 and Xbox One

Yet another last-gen game is making the move to PS4 and Xbox One.

2K has announced that Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel are being bundled into a single SKU called Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, which will be released on both consoles on March 27th.

Those who already own the game on Xbox 360 or PS3 can transfer their saves to Xbox One and PS4 respectively.

These new versions will offer some extra graphical flare and also, for the first time in the series, split-screen multiplayer for up to four people.

Also announced is the Borderlands: The Handsome Collection Claptrap-in-a-Box Edition that includes a remote control Claptrap robot, which is controlled via a smartphone app. And yes, it moves about while balanced on one wheel. The SKU is limited to 5,000 units worldwide and costs $399 in the US. Uk pricing is yet to be announced.

"The Handsome Collection gives players the opportunity to experience the full arc of Handsome Jack’s rise and fall, from his not-so-humble beginnings on Elpis to becoming the tyrannical Hyperion CEO on Pandora, all in one value-packed bundle," 2K president Christoph Hartmann said.

"This collection marks the Borderlands franchise’s official move to the next-gen platforms, and we’re proud to offer our fans the ability to continue playing with the characters they’ve built as they carry on adventuring in The Handsome Collection."
