Cage: Games violence no worse than TV

Quantic Dreams founder and CEO David Cage has spoken out again criticisms of mature content in video games, claiming their effect is no different to that of TV, films or books.

In an interview with Official PlayStation Magazine UK, Cage said: I don’t think we do anything worse than what you see on TV at eight o’clock at home.”

He also dismissed claims that the interactivity of mature games makes the violence more prominent than the detached nature of books or films:

I don’t think being interactive gives you fantastic power to change the minds of people and make them do things they’d never think of doing otherwise. We are like movies or books. I just try to create an experience that is entrancing and definitely not for kids.”
