Consumers won't be able to get their hands on the Remastered version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare without buying this year's new release as well.

Raven Software has also been confirmed as the Remaster's developer. The US developer has had a hand in a number of recent COD titles, but is perhaps better known for the likes of 2010's Singularity and assorted X-Men titles.
