‘Retro table top racing’ is to make a return on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC with Codemasters’ new title Toybox Turbos.
Although the publisher doesn’t reference the Micro Machines IP by name, it does say that the title features gameplay that reflects Codemasters’ fondly remembered miniature racing titles of the ‘90s”.
35 vehicles and 18 circuits are included spanning familiar locations such as the breakfast table and pool table. Four players are supported either locally or online across six different game modes
The Micro Machines series, which was licensed from the toy of the same name, first arrived in 1991 and went on to spawn three proper sequels.
Toybox Turbos is due out on Steam, PSN and Xbox Live on November 12th.
