Creditors seeking over $200m from bankrupt THQ

THQ went to the grave with creditors chasing over $200m in unpaid debts.

Polygon reports that claims to the bankruptcy court steam from as little as $2.98 from a US tax assessor all the way up to $39m the UK firm THQ Holdings.

Other claimants include $213,772 from Microsoft relating to third party peripheral licensing fees and $888,652 in financing fees. UFC owners Zuffa is seeking $1.9m in unpaid royalties while Codemasters is after $1m for royalties relating to titles such as Dirt 3, Bodycount and F1 2011.

Developer Double Fine is still owed $595,000 from sales of Stacking and Costume Quest. And remember the tattoo artist who was less than pleased with the inclusion of one of his designs in UFC Undisputed? He’s still after$4.16m.

Some may be surprised to hear that former THQ execs Jason Rubin and Jason Kay are seeking $2m and $2.1m respectively for severance and unpaid wages.

There are also outstanding payments owed to developers that had formerly worked on Homefront 2, Saints Row 4 and Metro: Last Light – the latter two of which are due to be released by Deep Silver in the coming months.

The number of claims supposedly stands in the hundreds.
