CVG bumps up Robinson, adds Crossley, Houlihan goes digital

Finally, CVG has named its new editor: long-serving staff member Andy Robinson.

The role has officially been vacant since Tim Ingham became Music Week editor last year, but this week Future confirmed the key promotion for Robinson, who has written for the site since joining in 2005.

Future’s popular site also has a new associate editor, with Develop online editor Rob Crossley crossing over to consumer media. He joins the team from May 28th.

Meanwhile current editor-in-chief John Houlihan becomes digital manager, with responsibility for keeping CVG at the forefront of online publishing.

CVG grows stronger and more authoritative in its field with each year that passes, and its E3 coverage puts down a new marker each time,"Simon Maxwell, group publishing director, said."The editorial team is already remarkably in tune with the industry it serves, but with these new appointments, CVG will be as skilled and committed as it has ever been.”

Andy Robinson added:CVG is at the cutting-edge of global gaming news and I am delighted to be appointed Editor. To lead a full-strength team into the next stage of the site’s evolution is an incredibly exciting opportunity, and I already have big plans for our coverage of E3 this year.”
