David Fincher to produce Halo 4 launch trailer

Fight Club, the Social Network and Se7en director David Fincher is to produce the launch trailer for Microsoft’s Halo 4.

Visual effects maestro Tim Miller, of Scott Pilgrim vs The World fame, will act as the director. Then pair promise an emotionally-charged look at the backstory of Halo’s iconic hero, the Master Chief”.

The live-action short is called ‘Scanned’ and was filmed in Prague.

It will make its global debut during the October 18th episode of US talk show Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and shortly afterwards on both halo Waypoint and the Xbox YouTube channel.

Halo 4 will be released worldwide on November 6th.
