Dead or Alive 5 Last Round will launch without online play on PC

Team Ninja has confirmed that upcoming brawler Dead or Alive 5 Last Round won’t offer online gameplay at launch.

Furthermore, online won’t be added in until a patch that’s currently scheduled to arrive three months after launch.

It is presumed that the game will have full online functionality at launch on PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Furthermore, Last Round will be sold for less than your typical RRP – 34.99 on PS4 and Xbox One and 24.99 on PS3 and Xbox 360 and 29.99 on Steam, although it’s currently available to pre-order for 26.99. The game will be released physically and digitally on the current consoles, although on PS3 and Xbox 360 it will be digital only.

A visual upgrade is promised, both to the fighters themselves and the game’s environments. Speaking of fighters – Last Round will have the largest roster of fighters ever seen in a Dead or Alive title, along with a total of 300 costumes.

Any DLC purchased for Dead or Alive: Ultimate can be transferred from last-gen machines to the PS4 and Xbox One versions, too.

Dead or Alive 5 Last Round will be released on February 17th.
