Deep Silver to publish Atlus and Sega games including Persona 5 in Europe

German games firm Deep Silver will be releasing Atlus and Sega games including Persona 5 in Europe.

The Dead Island firm announced today that it had entered in to a publishing agreement to launch some forthcoming Atlus games, such as Persona 5 (pictured) and Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse, as well as Sega’s 7th Dragon III Code: VFD in Europe and other PAL territories.

Koch Media/Deep Silver has distributed Sega titles in some European territories for some time, but actually publishing them is a new move for the firm.

Meanwhile, Atlus games were previously released in Europe by NIS America. However, the two firms ended their agreement following Atlus’ purchase by Sega.

Sega Europe had previously said it was interested in bringing Atlus titles to the UK.

We are delighted to have signed this publishing partnership and look forward to using all our pan-European publishing network to maximise the potential of the Atlus and Sega games” said Koch Media/Deep Silver boss Dr. Klemens Kundratitz.

Atlus CEO Naoto Hiraoka added: ”In entering this partnership with Deep Silver, I am truly delighted we will be able to release our titles in the European regions. Not only does the deal span multiple titles, but Deep Silver has a strong presence in European and PAL retailers. They have a strong passion for being able to deliver physical games to our fans in those territories, which we hold in high regard.”
