Develop: Brighton sees record 2,369 attendees for 2018 event

Develop:Brighton has announced record attendance figures for Develop:Brighton’s 2019 iteration, with 2,369 attendees over three days at Brighton’s Hilton Metropole hotel.

This is a nine per cent increase, year on year, in attendance for the Brighton games event.

“I’d like to thank all our speakers, sponsors, exhibitors and attendees for making this year’s Develop:Brighton such a success,” commented Andy Lane, managing director of Tandem Events. “For 2018, we strived to create a conference and expo that was more diverse, had more content and explored more of the topics that are at the forefront of games development. We are pleased with positive comments we’ve received this year, and for 2019 we’ll continue to push forward and create a conference that brings the game development community together.”

Attendees could see talks from Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida, Haden Blackman and Andy Wilson from Hangar 13, Bossa Studios’ Chet Faliszek, Rami Ismail and Mike Bithell in addition to over 110 other speakers, filling out the event’s new three day schedule.

Personally I ate four (4) different free ice creams at the event, so it’s two thumbs up from this writer. MCV editor and ultimate boss Seth ate three.

It’ll return (Ice cream TBC) next year in the same venue from Tuesday 9th to Thursday 11th July 2019. A call for speakers will go out in January 2019.
