The sale of digital product could account for the majority of EA's revenue within 24 to 26 months.
That's according to EA COO Peter Moore, who told Reuters that: "There will come a point, whether it is two or three years from now, when we say 'We are doing more in digital media now than we are in physical media' and it's clearly not far away."

The amount spent in the US on video game content in all forms from April to June 2012 totalled $2.88bn. That figure divides into $1bn in new physical video and PC game software, $1.47bn from game content in digital formats including full game and DLC content downloads, subscriptions, social network and mobile games.
In March it was reported that digital was already accounting for half of the PC market.
