Hyderabad-based game developer and publisher Gameshastra has sold one of its studios to the Disney Interactive Media Group, VCCircle has reported.
The studio in question developed Disney's Facebook game Gardens of Time. While Disney owns the property, Gameshastra had continued to provide post-release support for the game.
While the financials details of the sale haven't been revealed, VCCircle reports that the acquisition was completed in May.
The studio, which was working solely on Gardens of Time, was set up in 2011 and comprises of 45 staff. It will now report to Playdom, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company.
Gameshastra will continue its development operations, both on its own IP as well as for third parties such as Sony, Activision and Disney, through its other studios. The company recently released Bollywood tie-in FKS: Cricket Drive for iOS and Android.
