DisneyUTV Digital crosses 200 million downloads on Nokia Store

DisneyUTV Digital’s games have amassed 200 million downloads on the Nokia Store, the company has announced.

The new landmark comes just nine months after the company announced that it had crossed 100 million downloads on the Nokia Store, which mostly comprises of Java-based games designed for India’s massive feature phone market.

The games in question come from Indiagames, a division of the company that was bundled togetherwith other gaming businesses at UTV and Disney to form DisneyUTV Digital last year.

This result clearly shows consumers love our content and the ability to immerse themselves in their favourite characters or stories. These results charge our teams to continue to offer the best in mobile gaming to our users,” said DisneyUTV Digital managing director Vishal Gondal.

DisneyUTV Digital is the only company to have reached the 200 million downloads mark on the Nokia Store, with downloads coming predominantly from developing markets such as India, Brazil, Vietnam, Turkey, Thailand, Indonesia and Russia.

Predictably, it was the causal, cricket and Bollywood games that did the business.
