Double Fine’s Kickstarter-funded game gets a name – Broken Age

Tim Schafer’s Double Fine Productions raised $3.4 million through Kickstarter last year for its new game, tentatively called Double Fine Adventure.

The game now has a proper name – Broken Age. The crowd-funded point-and-click adventure follows two characters leading parallel lives.

The girl has been chosen by her village to be sacrificed to a terrible monster, but she decides to fight back. Meanwhile, a boy on a spaceship is living a solitary life under the care of a motherly computer, but he wants to break free to lead adventures and do good in the world,” reads the description on the game’s official website.

Broken Age will be DRM-free and is now available for preorder here for PC, Mac and Linux at $15. All preorder customers will also gain access to the game’s beta.

No release has yet been announced for Broken Age.
