Dream Games claims it has fired MD after anti-LGBT outburst

Developer Dream Games says it has parted company with both its MD and editor after the studio directed an online anti-LGBT at a fan.

Kotaku reports that following an offer of free keys for shooter Operation Caucasus, the studio refused one request from a gamer whose profile picture had a rainbow coloured filter, saying: We’re not support lgbt. Please, just f**k you.”

The gamer in question later managed to obtain a key via a friend, allowing them to leave a negative review detailing their exchanges with the studio.

Dream Games has now issued an apology via Facebook and claimed that staff have been let go as a result of the comments.

At Dream Games we feel very sorry about current situation,” it said. We have fired both editor and managing director from team. We will make sure situations like this will never happen in the future.”

Scepticism surrounding the legitimacy of the statement is rampant. Certainly the response has done nothing to stop the pile-on that is the game’s Steam reviews.
