Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires will receive a stripped-back free-to-play version alongside its full retail release, Tecmo Koei has revealed.
The company has announced that Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires Free Alliances Version will launch next month through the PlayStation Network.
The free-to-play take on the game allows players to use Edit and Free Modes. PS Plus subscribers get access to Empire Mode as well as online play with Free Mode. The free version will be supported by optional microtransactions for extra Edit Mode content.
Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires launched earlier this week in North America on PS3, PS4 and Xbox One, and arrives on February 27th in Europe. The PC edition of the game also arrives later this week.
