EA offers Mirror’s Edge hope

Following claims earlier in the week that we’d seen the last of the Mirror’s Edge series, publisher EA has seemingly offered some hope to fans of the game.

On Monday MCV reported that DICE boss Patrick Sodurland had claimed sales of Mirror’s Edge"were not as good as expected" and that work on the sequel had "stalled".

However, in a statement released to 1UP an EA rep claimed that "Mirror’s Edge is an important franchise" to the publisher, though it had "nothing further to announce" about news of a possible sequel for the time being.

DICE is, for the time being it said, concentrating its effort on Battlefield 3.
