EA warns of poor Q4 results

Leading publisher EA has confirmed that disappointing sales of its key software titles means it expects both its net revenue and earnings for the current Q4 period to be below numbers previously forecast by the firm.

The firm now expects its net revenue for the fiscal year ending January 31st to be between $4.9 billion and $5.15 billion.

While we saw significant improvement in the overall quality of our key products this year, we are disappointed that our holiday slate is not meeting our sales expectations,” EA chief executive John Riccitiello stated.

In October EA revealed that it is to cut six per cent of its global workforce in an effort to save $50 million per year.
