Finally someone is making that Altered Beast movie you were asking for

If Bloodrayne, Doom and Rampage can get the movie treatment, then why should Altered Beast not, we suppose?

Sega’s film arm has teamed up with Stories International, Circles of Confusion and the executive producers behind the successful Walking Dead series to produce what are described as filmed entertainment adaptions” of classic Sega franchises Altered Beast and Streets of Rage.

This could result in either films or TV series, it has been confirmed.

Apparently there are already agreements in place for similar spin-offs for Shinobi, Golden Axe, Virtua Fighter, House of the Dead and Crazy Taxi, with Stories in the process of partnering with the major studios, producers and filmmakers to co-develop adaptations of these properties as English-language feature films and television series for worldwide release”.

Circles of Confusion’s Lawrence Mattis stated: These are some of the most well loved SEGA games, and we are thrilled to be working with Stories to adapt them into major film and television franchises.”

Stories CEO Tomoya Suzuki added: With Lawrence and his team at Circle of Confusion, we are beyond excited to work alongside them to develop and produce these projects. We look forward to seeing the Centurion from ‘Altered Beast’ rise from his grave, and the ‘Streets of Rage’ heroes Adam, Axel and Blaze fight to take their city back on a screen near you.”
