The Five Nights at Freddy's series of horror games is being made into a movie.
That's according to Hollywood Reporter, who says that Warner Bros has bought the film rights to the horror series.
So far there have been three entries in developer Scott Cawthon's Five Nights at Freddy's series, with the third entry launching for mobile devices and PC last month.
The games cast players as a security guard working in a fast-food restaurant haunted by terrifying animatronic animals.
Hollywood Reporter also reports that Vertigo Entertainment's Roy Lee and KatzSmith Production's Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg are handling production duties.
We're looking forward to working with Scott to make an insane, terrifying and weirdly adorable movie,” said Grahame-Smith.
"The story really lends itself to being a movie and it taps into a largely unexplored niche of horror that a lot of people will be able to relate to," said Cawthon.
