Future launches three new kids magazines including Minecraft Mayhem and Your Gaming Heroes

Media firm Future is launching three new kids magazines – and two of them are video game related.

Minecraft Mayhem, Your Gaming Heroes and Your Comic Heroes are aimed at kids aged between six and 12, and will come out every three weeks.

Editor Daniella Lucas, who heralds from Gamesradar.com, will oversee each title.

Minecraft Mayhem, as it sounds, is dedicated to all things Minecraft and will feature YouTubers, cheats, tips and posters. It will cost 3.99.

Your Gaming Heroes will look at kids titles, including mobile gaming, and will also feature a number of YouTube stars. Again, it will cost 3.99.

Meanwhile, Your Comic Heroes will deal with comic books, film, TV and other things related to the worlds of Marvel, DC and those sort of chaps. The first issue comes with a Spider-Man mask and once again costs 3.99.

These titles join Future’s roster of games mags, which also includes GamesMaster, Edge, OXM, OPM and PC Gamer. The firm is also finalising plans to acquire Imagine Publishing in a share deal that will see GamesTM, Retro Gamer, Play and XOne join its roster.

The kids titles will compete with the likes of 110% Gaming and Toxic.

No-one does video games magazines better than Future, and with Daniella at the helm, these are set to be fun, exciting mags for kids who are into gaming and superheroes,” said Matt Pierce, editorial director on the kids titles.

Each mag is packed with gifts and activities – and since we’re launching in time for the summer holidays, they’ll ensure parents get a well-earned break.”

Joseph McEvoy, MD of Magazines, added: "Future opens a new chapter this Summer with the launch of three magazines for kids. Continuing our investment and commitment to innovation in our magazine division, and building on our passion for gaming and comic heroes."

There’s a video for the kids magazines. You can watch it below.
