Future reveals new management team

Media company Future has announced its new executive management team.

Nial Ferguson has been appointed as content and marketing director, having previously served at Future for six years. Prior to this he was managing director of Future UK.

Media veteran Jeff Turner has joined the media firm as commercial director for advertising. In this role he will be overseeing advertising commercial functions.

Turner has had a 16-year career in the media industry and has worked at the likes of Telegraph Media Group.

New commercial director for consumer revenues Paul Layte joined Future back in May from Carphone Warehouse. He will oversee circulation, subscriptions, digital editions, trade marketing, consumer and product insight, data strategy and international licensing.

Emma Harvey joined Future in June as product and technology director. She is responsible the newly-created product and technology team.

Michael Venus comes to the media company as HR and communications director. He will be responsible for developer Future’s communications strategies.

Meanwhile, Charlie Speight will continue to serve as senior vice president of Future US, having been promoted to this role in April of this year.

I am delighted to be working with such a strong team with a wealth of media, retail, and technology experience; this is the right team for the next stage of the Future journey and I am looking forward to working together with them,” said CEO Zillah Byng-Maddick.

This follows the news last month that the media company had hired Tesco’s Richard Haley as CFO. He will start this role in October.
