GAME applies for Stock Exchange cancellation

Shareholders holding out hope that they might yet recoup the value of their losses have received some bad news this afternoon.

The GAME Group has today requested its complete removal from the London Stock Exchange.

"Further to the announcement of 21 March 2012 and the appointment of PWC LLP as administrators for the Group on 26 March 2012, GAME Group plc has today applied for the listing of its securities to be cancelled from the Official List and for the admission to trading of its securities to be cancelled from the Main Market of London Stock Exchange plc with effect from 3 April 2012,” a statement confirmed.

Shareholders’ only hope now is that administrators PwC are able to realise enough value from the sale of the company’s remaining assets – that mainly being its overseas businesses – to repay their investment at face value.
