GAME shop opens on PS Home

From today GAME’s Moonbase in PlayStation Home will begin offering users the chance to order physical game from the retailer directly through the game world.

Using any one of the Moonbase terminals customers will be able to browse a selection of PS3 and PSP games for home delivery.

In addition, a new GAME V store will offer a range of virtual branded goods designed for use either with a user’s avatar or in their personal spaces. The selection will be updated every month and will include offers in conjunction with third parties.

GAME V will be offering a free t-shirt tomorrow.

We are delighted to offer this world first for PlayStation Home,” general manager of digital services Paul Howes stated.

We are committed to offering a service that delivers games to our customers however and wherever they want it – we hope that Home users will come and see how easy it is get the games they want from Moonbase.

The GAME V store opens up new areas of opportunity and we hope to develop promotional plans and close working partnerships with publishers of all PlayStation games, including PSN titles, to make Moonbase a vibrant and regular destination for all PlayStation gamers.”

GAME’s Moonbase went live in March.
