Games EIC role for Future’s Clark

Future has announced a reshuffle of its games team that sees current editor-in-chief of Official PlayStation Magazine Tim Clarke become editor-in-chief of the company’s entire games portfolio.

In addition, current head of Edge International and PC Gamer James Binns will widen his role to include CVG.co.uk, GamesRadar.com and the websites of Future’s official games mags.

Graham Dalzell has been promoted to group art editor while Mark Wynne has been made Future’s new senior art editor. Steve Gallagher becomes art editor.

Ben Wilson remains editor of Official PlayStation Mag and will pick up some of Clark’s former responsibilities. Current FirstPlay editor Nathan Ditum will in future report to Wilson.

The two new editorial appointments are an important strategic step for the games portfolio," Future’s group publisher Simon Maxwell stated.

"With the experience and expertise that Tim and Graham bring with them we will see our brands go from strength to strength and further cement their sector leading status.

"James has unrivalled experience and understanding of the games business and his recent brilliant work launching the all-conquering PCGamer.com makes me confident that he will take these properties to the next level of their development. We will be appointing an associate publisher to assist James in the near future as we look to expand the business and drive the brands forward.”
