Publish date:

Industry charity GamesAid has revealed how much it has raised for its partner organisations with its annual Elite auction.

Members donated a van load of rare gaming goodies and merchandise – including Assassin's Creed statues, Tomb Raider dolls, signed artwork and a costume worn by David Hasslehoff – and put them up for auction on GamesAid's eBay page before Christmas.

Over December, the entire offering raised 7,253.16 for charity. The Elite auctions have raised 125,000 since they began in June 2009.

Companies that donated included Ubisoft, EA, Eurogamer, Future, THQ, Blizzard, Capcom, Konami, Sega, Blockbuster, 2K, Premier PR, Indigo Pearl, Square Enix, Namco Bandai, Mastertronic, The Producers and Bethesda.

The auction is ongoing. Any games companies looking to donate games-related items can contact for more information.
